Esmee is a second year student of the research master Neurosciences at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. After investing in her broad interests during her Liberal Arts and Sciences bachelor in Utrecht, she is now focussing more and more on the neurobiology of psychiatric disorders and criminal behavior. In her previous research experience she investigated gender categorization using EEG and the potential of deep brain stimulation for Anorexia Nervosa using, amongst others, fMRI. To expand her knowledge on imaging techniques and more specifically antisocial behavior, she will be focussing on analyzing the fMRI tasks in our research.
