Lisa Dielessen is a second-year research master student Cognitive Neuroscience at Leiden University. During her bachelor psychology, she developed a great interest in the underlying neural mechanisms of behavior. She is particularly interested in the neural underpinnings of emotion. Adolescence is an example of a critical period in development, in which emotions are heavily involved. For her research internship, she was looking for a project that gave her the opportunity to further deepen this interest. Therefore, she is very happy to assist to the longitudinal fMRI study on the development of self-concept in adolescents.
