Sibel studied Applied Neuroscience of Education and Child Studies at Leiden University and obtained her masters degree in 2015. For her master thesis she participated in the EEG study of ‘Samen Uniek’ and she wrote her thesis about FRN potential differences during the processing of social judgments in young children. As a research assistant at the Brain and Development lab, Sibel now assists in different (fMRI-)research projects, such as the MOM-project and ‘Samen leren’. She will assist in the ‘Prosocial behavior' project as well, which is a new longitudinal fMRI study. Furthermore, she is mainly interested in developmental neuroscience, especially in adolescents.
